Authentic Japanese Weddings in Kyoto: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience

Celebrate your once-in-a-lifetime union in the spiritual heart of Japan. At BASE KYOTO, we believe a wedding is more than a ceremony; it is a profound cultural passage.

In a world of fleeting trends, we stand for uncompromising authenticity. We reject the superficial “imitation culture” often created for tourism, choosing instead to honor Kyoto’s true heritage. From finely crafted, traditional Kimonos to rituals performed with sacred precision, we ensure every detail reflects the genuine spirit of Japan.

We do not seek the simplest or the least expensive paths, but rather a commitment to excellence that preserves our culture for future generations. Join us in Kyoto for a ceremony that is as real as it is beautiful.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How far in advance should we book?

Ideally, we recommend at least 2 months in advance. However, depending on the venue, last-minute arrangements may be possible. Please contact us to discuss your timeline.

Can we have a private ceremony for just the two of us?

Absolutely. We cater to both intimate elopements (just the couple) and larger celebrations with guests. Your personalized plan will be tailored to accommodate your preferred guest count.

Do we need to practice the ceremony rituals beforehand?

No need to worry. We provide an on-site rehearsal just before the ceremony, and our bilingual staff will guide you through every gesture. We ensure you feel calm and confident.

What happens if it rains?

Most of our historical venues are designed with beautiful indoor spaces and covered corridors, meaning the ceremony and photography are rarely affected by the weather. In fact, the soft light and glistening greenery of a rainy day often create a uniquely poetic and serene atmosphere for your photos.

What is the payment schedule?

An initial deposit is required via PayPal to activate the contract. The final balance, based on your confirmed personalized plan, must be settled via PayPal before the wedding date.
