Offer Your VIP Clients an Experience They Won’t Find Elsewhere
Kyoto has no shortage of tea ceremony experiences. What sets this programme apart is a certified Urasenke Associate Professor with over 60 years of practice — and the ability to tailor the content entirely to your clients’ goals and needs.
When your clients arrive in Japan for a leadership retreat, board meeting, or high-stakes incentive trip, the standard cultural excursion no longer impresses. What discerning executives want is depth: a genuine encounter with Japanese philosophy that connects directly to how they lead, negotiate, and build trust.
That is what this programme delivers.

Why this stands apart from a standard tea ceremony tour
Most tea ceremony experiences are performative. A host demonstrates. Guests watch and sip. It ends in 45 minutes with a souvenir photo.
This programme is structured as an executive seminar. Your clients will engage with the four pillars of Zen tea philosophy — wa 和 (Harmony), kei 敬 (Respect), sei 清 (Purity), jaku 寂 (Tranquility) — and learn how each translates into the leadership behaviours their organisations depend on: psychological safety, non-verbal influence, unbiased decision-making, and resilience under pressure.
The session concludes with hands-on practice, not passive observation. Every participant leaves with a framework they can actually use.
